About me

My name is Ger, and I’m a graphic designer and illustrator from Cork, Ireland. From a young age, art and drawing have been my passions. I spent countless hours as a child drawing and redrawing the row of houses across from my bedroom window. The structure and precision of architecture fascinated me, which initially led me to pursue a degree in architecture after finishing my Leaving Cert.

However, while studying architecture, I realized I craved more creative freedom, which steered me toward graphic design. I switched courses and never looked back. My background in both architecture and design, combined with my love for drawing, has significantly influenced my design style and approach. I specialize in creating clean, structured designs, where fine details are as critical as the overall concept.

After graduating from Munster Technological University, with a BA Hons is Visual Communications, I moved to Toronto, Canada. There I garnered over 10 years of experience working in a very fast paced and creative environment. In a surprise twist, I became a father to twin boys in the summer of 2022 and decided it was time to return home to Ireland for the free family babysitting!

When I’m not wrangling toddlers or pixels, you’ll find me sketching hyper-realistic pencil portraits or glued to the TV for every Ireland and Munster rugby match. Because let’s be honest—there’s no better way to procrastinate than by yelling at a screen. Recently, I’ve developed a keen interest in furniture design and find a lot of satisfaction in the challenge of building custom pieces for the house. It’s a hands-on way to blend creativity with craftsmanship.
