Overview
Pathways is a series of training courses that Intact Insurance offers to it’s brokers. Available online and in-person these courses range from beginner to advanced levels of insurance training.
The Need
The user experience was one that needed to be addressed as up to now each course made available to brokers fell under multiple categories depending on line of business or product. Finding a course you wanted to do was a confusing process. L&D’s hope was that a better user experience would lead to more people enrolling in courses.
The Result
We named the overall training catalogue Pathways, with the concept of the user being able to choose their own learning path. With the help of L&D we standardised all courses into 4 main categories (paths), so users could choose a course from personal or commercial lines of business and in a fundamental or intermediate level of experience. Within each “path” there are a series of individual courses that the user can take. The flexibility with the concept of paths is that all these course can be seen as stops along the particular path, so the more you complete the further you are along in your learning journey and the more you’ll be encouraged to finish the path and enrol in remaining course, thus improving enrolment/completion rates.
With the help of email communications we were able to make people aware of the upcoming launch of the new platform and also send users tailored emails to encourage them to continue their training once enrolled in a course.

To enhance the user experience and to encourage social engagement, vector based "emblems” were created to give users the opportunity of posting to their social channels, indicating that they had completed a particular learning path while spreading awareness of the education program.
